INTERACTIVE DISKETTE MARKETING INDUSTRY LEADERS MERGE
Interactive Companies Pool Talent and Client Base
San Clemente, Calif., Aug 15, 1993 — This week GRAFX
Group, Inc. of San Clemente, California and Unterweiser
Studios of Cleveland, Ohio formalized a merger agreement
that was a year in the making. By combining the technical
abilities, production capabilities and broad client base of
both companies, GRAFX Group now provides the widest range
of interactive diskette marketing support services
available in the industry. The staff of Unterweiser Studios
has relocated to the GRAFX production facilities in
Southern California and continues to maintain an East Coast
and Midwest marketing presence.
"GRAFX Group's technical expertise is the reason most
major computer hardware companies such as Toshiba, Digital
Equipment and NEC choose GRAFX to create their interactive
marketing products," says Doug Wolfgram, founder and
president of GRAFX Group. Unterweiser Studios enjoys a
reputation in the high technology industry with clients
such as Tecmar and AT&T/NCR, however, they are better known
for their support of non-computer industry clients such as
the big six accounting firm of Ernst and Young. "With the
addition of Unterweiser Studios' experience outside the
computer industry, GRAFX Group will continues to grow
exponentially in a market that is virtually exploding,"
continues Wolfgram.
Paul Unterweiser, president and founder of Unterweiser
Studios oversees all production at GRAFX, including
interactive diskette marketing projects, commercial
products and motion picture graphics. His support staff
includes the existing staff of artists, designers, writers
and programmers from both companies. Wolfgram retains
his duties as president of GRAFX and will continue to be an
industry spokesman,
author and evangelist for interactive diskette marketing.
GRAFX Group, Inc. is one of the nation's oldest and
largest interactive diskette marketing firms. Founded in
1982, GRAFX created the technology that most of the
interactive information industry uses to develop and
deliver computer-based messages.
In addition to technological superiority, GRAFX Group's
marketing expertise, quality
of work, and broad range of services distinguishes it from
newcomers in the interactive media market. Recently, a
presentation created for Pella Windows, (a division of
Rolscreen Corporation), won awards for design from both the
Los Angeles Business Communications and Marketing
Association and New Media Magazine's INVISION awards.
Other GRAFX clients are advertising agencies such as
Chiat/Day/Mojo, Ogilvy and Mather, and Scali, McCabe,
Sloves, computer vendors such as Ashton-Tate, AST Computer,
Compaq, Dell, Digital Equipment, Epson, NEC, Sharp, Toshiba
and Zenith Data Systems and film studios such as Paramount
Pictures, Universal Studios and Warner Brothers.
