By the time your baby is old enough to use a computer, your current Amiga will definitely be obsolete. I don't believe there will be any new significant products for the Amiga outside of the video and multimedia areas. I wouldn't worry about that far ahead anyway, I'd just get a new computer when he or she is 4 or so. That will probably be PowerPC 620 or Intel P6 based. As for your Amiga, do you need to make major investments in it? If not, just enjoy it. That's what I'm doing. I realize that it will break at some point, and then I'll just trash it.
