I not quite sure I buy this. <g> I liked your points about the rings of the gas giants, the polar alinement of Uranus, and Pluto's orbit. A 'stellar interloper' could explain much about these oddities (and others <g>). But, as I understand the fusion cycle of stars like our sun, any material extruded wouldn't have any significant quantities of elements heavier than iron, as fusion past the iron stage takes more energy than it produces. As I understand it the heavier elements come the the accretion of dust from supernovas. Regards, Guy
