Bruce, Computer animation has always been a balancing act between right brain / left brain functions, especially for those of us who free-lance. Between the hardware and the software constraints, restrictions and hassles, creativity stills eeks it way into the equation. If anybody is going to pull it off my money is with the Yost Group. And you've accurately stated the dilemma. If its going to be more powerful, its going to need to increase in complexity. The question is how much and still be average joe friendly.
