Gary, I don't think I was asking the question… "is it art?". I assume CG animation is an art and the thrust of my comments to Ara is that studying the arts whether it be film or traditional medium is going to be the best preparation for what's to come (provided of course one gets or has some experience working with computers). I also expect that more educational institutions will in time develop an art curriculum designed around CG much like film, cel animation or photography. The question "is it art?" has been applied to everything not restrictive of medium. I agree with your perspective and I trust I didn't imply otherwise. I assume any medium you can create in has the pontential to be art which is probably a fairly liberal interpretation. To me its not a question of the medium but as you say what you do with it. -JE
