Paul,
My main interest is in learning something new. Also it sounds like an
interesting area to write programs for. I do quite a bit of database and
network programming and it seems like it would be a fun application to apply to
the existing database data.
MapInfo (demo) at Comdex in 1992 sparked my interest in the area of GIS also.
It seems like quite a bit of information is available but I do not know what to
hit first. Feels like when you first learning about computers and don't know
the terms (eg Ram and Rom) except as applied to GIS. So any
information/books/ideas can you give me would be very helpful.
