#AMaxIV = YES!
The 'least' I was hoping to get out of using the Emplant sCSI instead of
the 2091 controller was to free up a slot in my 4000/Toaster setup. (I'm
down to 0 with toaster, Emplant, & 2091)
I _know_ the Emplant is at least 3-4 times faster than the 2091 in my
setup. (I'm currently running one 80MB, Mac formatted, Quantum drive
off the Emplant SCSI w/o problems – it's only when I try to add the
other drives that I start to get random lockups [_definitely_ not
terminator related! :^)].)
I guess the main reason I'm so frustrated is that my CD-ROM works
just great on the Amiga side when I use the empscsi.device. If only
they would get the rest of the driver working for my 4000……
_IF_ I end up spending the bucks for a SCSI-II controller, I will
definitely go for a DMA SCSI/RAM card………
Thanks,
