Steve, Wherever you live, there is probably a 3dStudio user's group within a drive of an hour or so. Books are a good reference resource, and a good learning tool too if you can stand to do lots of tutorials (which I can't), but nothing helps more than human resources. At the user's groups you'll find people who are not only really knowledgable and well-connected, but generally cool as well. It's as much a social meeting as it is topic-directed. Ask in this forum where the nearest group is. Dan
