Betty,
I helped someone sign up for (whisper) America On-Line this morning, and I was
surprised that the program INSISTED on a screen name, "to be friendly". My
client wanted to use her initials, but they weren't available, neither was her
last name. AOL suggested some absurd combination of her name and some numbers,
and we ended up with a contraction of her full name. But she couldn't use her
real name at all. And she wanted to.
