Connie, I'm still using my 2500, though I've added memory, the ECS chipset, and updated the operating system. The latest is 3.1. If you haven't seen 2.03, 2.1, and 3.1, you will have a pleasant surprise. They add MUCH to the usefulness of the Amiga, and the prices are reasonable. At this time, of course, you'd go straight to 3.1. You might prefer to get a 2091 controller, instead of the 2090A. It can do a true autoboot, without the need for the small boot partition and duplications of the boot partition on Workbench. That was a bit of a chore. It is my feeling that the Amiga is still ahead in some respects, but is falling behind in others. We can hope that the next few months will bring us a truly updated Amiga that will be out in front again. But AutoConfig still works better than Plug-n-Play, and our multitasking works better than Windows, for sure! I'm told that OS/2 is quite similar to AmigaDOS in a number of ways, but I've not had enough disk space on my Toshiba to install it. Amazing Computing is still in business, so you can get that one, and there are a number of Amiga magazines from England that give excellent information. Have a look at your nearest Barnes&Noble and you should find several. Drop by again. We're always glad to welcome back our Amiga folks! —Betty
