The exact contents of the config.sys file is dependent on your machine
configuration. I would stay with your original config.sys, and look at the
lines at the bottom of the config.sys file from the .zip file dealing with
svga.
It's been a while since I've run 3ds under os/2, but as I remember it, the only
real change in the config.sys file was adding the parameter "/bgexec" to one of
the device lines dealing with the svga device driver. I've never tried a
Cirrus chip set. The ones I've gotten it to work with are a diamond speedstar
and an ATI Graphics Ultra.
Have you tried using the null video driver yet? It's at the bottom (I think)
of the Vibrant list. Using this driver causes 3ds never to go into graphics
mode. You have no idea if anything went wrong, but if desparation calls…
