Well, there's no one "Samba developer". Check out the Internet newsgroups called linux.samba and linux.samba.announce. Are you still running the version that i sent you a few months ago? There may be a newer version on the net somewhere. I haven't run Samba for a while, so I'm no help on the most recent details. I'm in network hell myself, too – I'm trying to think how I'll maintain a source code version control system across PC, SGI, Mac and perhaps Amiga systems, all networked, all intergrated into different development environments, plus Alpha and MIPS versions of WinNT, plus DOS, plus who knows what. 🙂
