John, You're right: economics aside (see Don's reply to me), I >>was<< inadvertantly engaging in yet >>another<< self-referential idea! GEB was a WONDERFUL book, although parts of it were over my head like a circus tent. I always think of that dialogue between Achilles and the turtle (?) over the flag with the circular cut out in it, completely unconnected to the body of the flag, waving as a whole in the breeze. – Mark
