hmmm… You would never be sure that you had reached the position you
requested on the disk. For example, suppose you issued a LD command to
display frame 12301. If the PAUSE button on the AV LAser requestor was
enabled, normally the progra would wait until the laser command finished.
It sounds as if you would not be sure the correct frame was displaying and
would have to build in a small wait (a second or two), or just hope for the
best… I don't think it would be too much of an inconvience..but it
wouldn't be as nice as direct support.
One other thing. Before you run out and buy that LDP for use with
AmigaVision, make damn sure there is a supplied driver that will work with
the player you are getting. I suspect it would be a very bad feeling to buy
a LDP, only to find it doesn't work with AV.
