As John & Glenn said, yes, you'll need to generate a separate "flying matte" tape, but you don't want to turn anti-aliasing off. The softer anti-aliased edge will be much cleaner than a hard aliased edge, with less artifacts. You may also want to render your "image" animation over a color similar to the color of the background video if possible. m.
