It begins to look as though this printer was a poor choice for the Amiga, doesn't it? If I can only use Epson emulation – which does not take full advantage of the printer's capabilities – in order to use text, and since text and graphics cannot be mixed with it (if I understand the documentation with the drivers and the things you've said here), then it is of little more use than a dot matrix would have been – or one of the very inexpensive bubble-jets. I'd certainly not planned to move it to the laptop and put the laser on the Amiga, but that begins to appear as the only solution. Thanks for all the information. I appreciate your work with these drivers, and your input here. It really helps us to know what the printers can and cannot do with the Amiga. And without your work, we would not have Canon drivers at all – so thanks! —Betty
