NT networking is fantastic, the administrative tools allow you to run an entire network from one machine. I can imagine a rendering event viewer and performance monitor similar to the tools that ship with NT. All the tools can have graphical interfaces with graphs for progress displays. I'd like to get a killer Alpha box to use as a render engine. I'd be tempted to use it as my workstation though. Hopefully any protocol, especially tcp/ip, will work. I don't have IPX or NetBEUI on my NT network.
