The question is whether macroscopic bodies exhibit the same relativistic effects as subatomic and atomic particles. If so, then it will be quite some time before anybody exceeds the sort of speeds achieved in modern accelerators, with say a 1000 ton ship. Relativistic particles behave precisely according to Einstein.
