Ray – The comments are nearly in the same place. As I had only a Daisy wheel printer before, all these setting were of no importance. The explanations are only moderately clear to me. As far as I can gather 3 situations may be distinguished: a) Typing letters b) Rendering half tone or color pictures c) Rendering B & W graphs The best settings for those situations may vary. I just thought there may be some simple rule as to what would work best with this printer. When typing letters I can only use Cour 10 in portrait mode or Cour 10 and alternatively Cour 16 in Landscape mode.Other combinations, including Cour 20, although settable on the printer will be reset by the software upon printing. Is this a consequence of using a Deskjet only instead of a proper Deskjet Plus driver (if available already)? – Alfred
