Ben; The reason that you don't hear that is because most of the people that run Unix systems would die laughing if anyone even pretended that MSDOS was even in the running for the magnitude of the work that is done. I have seen several companies move from 'other' real systems (ie: multi-user) to Unix. A major consideration was that such a move would allow for future expansion and reduce the dependency upon any one particular type/brand of computer. Indeed may of the 'favorite' DOS box type programs either have Unix versions or have more 'user friendly' Unix equivalents. -bill – via Whap!
