I was talking about what people ask for when they post suggestions, ie "upgrade the base A500 to a 20 mhz 68020 with 4 megs ram for the same $399 price; then you can compete against the $1200 8 Mhz Mac" I don't know how to overcome the price advantages of the clones, I doubt you do either, otherwise you'd be very, very rich. (BTW, I'd be interested in seeing your benchmark program; with a little tweaking of the A3000 I can generally get much higher ratings on the A3000 than a 386) Video can be a strong point for the Amiga because its NTSC or PAL video rates. You're confusing video with computer graphics. Ask NewTek about the difference. If you are convinced the Amiga isn't the computer for you; fine, you should buy a PC. (Commodore will be happy to sell you one, if you want) Personally, I like the A3000; it outperforms the 386 for the things I need it to do; the OS is a pleasure to work under, and to program, (unlike Windows and DOS), I use a 1Kx800 monitor for some things, and 640×400 for others. I program, ray trace, do video work, etc. If running Lotus on supervga is your thing, then the PC is for you; for me, its the Amiga. andy
