Dennis, I disagree, as you might expect. OK, let's take a scenario. Say I'm producing a program which designs display advertisements for graphic designers. I send the program, but tell my users it won't print the clip art images I supply with the app. Oh…well…if you buy this add-on it'll do that, but that's another $50 for the tools needed to perform this basic function. You're right about all the features you need being in the API. But I challenge anyone who doesn't have some experience in another language to understand the way that MS explaing how you access those calls. I'm not stupid, and I've been writing code in QB for years. I confess, though to being completely at sea when I first started making API calls. I still find new ones to be a challenge. I'll repeat myself….basic functions should be supported *within* a language like VB…not as add-ons. George There is 1 Reply.
