Kamron… I'm not sure I understand where you're headed with your question… There are certainly considerable differences among polished stone surfaces; and I tend to "study" the surface of rocks anywhere I go (g). Be it the beach, stream beds, alluvial fans, chapparal (gravity tumbled surfaces?). There are surfaces that "face" naturally because a stone fractures on crystal planes or fractures concoidally (agate, jasper, opal). Jade takes a moderately nice "natural" polish because it is both hard and "tough" (intertwined molecular structure as opposed to crystaline). What kind of differences are you refering to? -Russ
