Bill: Well… the >first< animation software that I used was Animator.. and the >second< was Animator Pro. I have >seen< Disney's version… my primary interest is in going to tape not to Windows or other platforms (maybe later…). I'm not qualified to evaluate the software on a comparison basis but I can say that I am very happy with what I have… One of the reasons that I am happy is due to this here forum… Another is because I can bitch at Gary Yost, the president of the company that authors the software (haven't had to do much of that…). You can call Que or New Rider's direct for a copy of their books. I think you will find BOTH of those helpful… I didn't like the one from Sams. The other I haven't read… New Rider's is tutorial in style… I think, for what will become obvious reasons, that Que's is easier to read and doesn't require that you sit by the computer to learn something from it. It also has tutorial features, but is not the same style as New Riders… it is a matter of personal preference but I would suggest buying both. The Using Autodesk Animator book also has appendices that are more technical in nature but they aren't up to the current technology due to the time the book was done. They are still helpful to beginners, I think. C#
