Wayne – I'd be happy to let you see mine if you let me see yours! <g> It is definitely "in progress" at this time, but let me have your fax number and I'll send an exercise or two off. It's all text now, but I'd like to add some illustrations eventually. I found the quickest-and-dirtiest way to pull through when I *need* illustrations is to make SLDs with arrows pointing to what I want the students to work on, and display them on the overhead. It *is* a regurgitation of the stuff we did in dealer training. Same drawings and same exercises (for now), although as time permits I want to start replacing both — I think I read (here?) that the dealers could use this material for their own training as long as they didn't copy it verbatim. What would I like to see? *Timely* material for teaching three levels of AutoCAD — which pretty well means it would have to come from Autodesk. We've been using prepared material from Walter Kappelmann Associates in Ontario for our R11 stuff, but he won't have anything for R12 until into the new year. I've already taught two R12 upgrade classes, with 2 more booked over the next 3 weeks. I also have an Introduction to AutoCAD coming up soon, for which I am going to have to rewrite the Kappelmann stuff to bring it up to 12 level. All that said, training is a really tough sell in this market at this time. The R12 upgrade classes I've done have had one person in each. And we were discounting them for people who bought their upgrades from us. In other words, we're losing money here. The owner of the dealer where I work (did I tell you where I work?) is making noises like "Maybe we shouldn't be doing training." [… continued]
