Hi Keith! I'm sorry to burst in late on the scene here, but I must have missed your earlier message. What exact problem are you having with Sherlock Holmes? The most common problem with we encounter with Sherlock Holmes is that the Sound Blaster and Sound Blaster Pro cards default to IRQ7. This is a direct conflict with LPT1, your parallel/printer port. As a result, Sherlock will lock as soon as it starts tranmitting sound to the card (At the "ICOM" screen). If this is the case, try switching your sound card to another IRQ. Usually IRQ5 (LPT2) or IRQ10 (Reserved by some systems) will work. Keep in mind that you might be able to get some applications/games to play sound through the card with this conflict in place. However, since Sherlock Holmes communicates with the sound card 15 times a second, the conflict immediately manifests. If this doesn't help, or if I can be of any further assistance, please reply!
