After some thorough investigation, our tax accountant and attorney
actually agreed with each other (a first!), and we went with a full 'C'
corporation instead of an 'S'.
A major advantage is that a C corp can shift it's fiscal year (ours is
January 31st) from the calandar year, an S cannot. This means that I can
give myself a big bonus in January (well, I can dream, can't I?), deduct it
from the company's books right at the end of the year (good timing) and not
have to pay tax on it personally for another full year!
There were no other major differences for us that I can remember.
