Absurd! If the current machines are broken…due to a design
defect, then Commodore darn well ought to put priority on fixing the
broken machines, not waiting until they feel like it.
Imagine if you bought some other commodity and found it to be
defective and when you asked to have it repaired, you were told that
the manufacturer is aware of the defect, has a fix for it, but is
using it's current stock to build new thingies and you'll just have
to wait 6 or more months before you can get your thingie fixed.
You'd be hacked. Darn hacked…especially if the defect made
your thingie much less useful.
