You make it sound as if the Amiga is the only platform with
problems, now you know that's not true. I read most of the major
publications covering the Mac's and PC's and there is a constant
stream of criticism of both manufactures of these other platforms.
There was one particular article about Apple that tickled me one
time, it was about all the mistakes that Apple had made over the past
year or so and refused to acknowledge. I had intended to cut it out
and save so that I could harass the Apple "Worshipers" I know. Then I
thought better of it for all these mistakes by Apple have cost people
a lot of money, which they never will be able to recover.
In our case at work we have hundreds of Mac's networked to a few
hundred thousand PC's and there are constant problems. Now the one
that I get a kick out of (now, not back then) was that it took Apple
almost a year to write a printer driver that would work on the MacIIx
to print to a Apple Dot-Matrix printer.
If all the manuals are so perfect on these other platforms why do
we need to read magazines or books (Dos/Windows for dummies?) or even
join services like CIS or the others. Come to think about it, the
Video Toaster has one of the worst manuals ever written, have you
brought this up yet???
One other thing I have a friend who is going crazy trying to get
his CD-Rom drive and Soundblaster card to work together on his PC,
conflicts, conflicts, etc, oh my gosh, there nothing in the manual
that covers this, what is one to doooo???
In my last posting to you I tried to be nice, but now I'm growing
a little tired of your holier then thou attitude..
I had the same MAX-Transfer prob when I added a slave IDE drive, I
simply posted this problem here on CIS, someone got back to me and it
was fixed real fast. Last week someone posted the same prob and I
along with others posted a answer to HELP this person…
Please remember the only stupid question is the one that is not
asked..
