One of the most common "problems" with MS-DOS machines when they are returned to dealers in this area for service is the user's inability to install a hard drive so that it will function as desired…. This is usually just a configuration problem and once the correct hardware and software settings are obtained the chosen drive works fine, however, there are some (IDE) drive combinations which are incompatible…and these are usually remedied by reversing the drives. As difficult as it may be to believe, platforms other than the Amiga have their (hardware) problems also…which is NOT to say that the Amiga is as good as or better than or worse than any other platform.
