So? What's your point? I've spent a heck of a lot more time tracking down IRQ/com port conflicts while installing modems on PC's than I have ever spent installing ANYTHING on the Amiga. And I know what I'm doing on both platforms. If you have no intention of learning the platform, than I would suggest that you ask questions here, or at your Amiga Dealer (should you be fortunate enough to be able to have/find one) prior to doing anything. There is no question that IDE on the Amiga stinks… and no question at al, that it was a mistake on the part of CBM (foisted upon us by an ex-IBM exec)… but knowledegable users and dealers are aware of the problems and limitiations, and seeking out advice from them is your best bet, not trial and error on the part of the user.
