Jerry, frankly, that you have gone of the deep end is how it appears to me. You've posted many a question that had simple answers that anyone that had read, and comprehended, the manual would have understood. As well as following on-screen instructions. When the explanation was provided, you have repeatedly ridiculed the operating system of the machine for performing in the particular manner that it uses. This is curious, given the long history that the particular operating system of this machine has, drawn from the minicomputer and mainframe world (re: BCPL and B). You have also criticized C= for following the IDE standard, to the letter. Again curious. Given the penchant of a certain set of peripherals in two particular communities (who shall remain nameless) for violating standards left and right, it shouldn't be suprising that you expect such to be a normal state of affairs. I guess standards are not an issue with you, nor is rationality. The debate here on standards tend to run more into whether C= is violating their own user interface standards by highlighting a pointer from the wrong direction, rather than whether I can really use this tape drive on my machine. Curious that you blame C= rather than your own experience. To date you have ignored every one of the posts I have had to you correcting factual errors distortions. Fine. Ignore this one as well. I've just set your user ID as a Killed ID, so I will not see any reply. I'm just sorry I pressed Steve to add GIF support to allow me to access your service. I shan't from now on, as I won't put myself in the position of financially supporting your ludicrous positions.
