Nicholas,
If you are running with only Files=, buffers=, and your mouse, and you still
get the error, then the possibilites fall to harware and file problems. It
could be a corrupted file as you mentioned. Try re-installing the software from
the original diskettes. It could be running into a bad RAM chip. Run
diagnostics on your system. It could be the hard disk, check for lost disk
allocation files, defragment your hard disk, look for bad sectors, and run a
virus scanner.
Now the serious detective work begins…
