Pat
I was sorry to hear of your experiences with DTP (Desktop publishing).
Interesting as they were and sympathetic as I am, do you have any observations
on DTS (DeskTop Set)?
DTS is of course a fine application; I have, for example, never heard of it
corrupting data, although of course there is user error, often confused with
application error by less experienced Windows users and those unwilling (or
unable) to read the documentation.
A shame your DTP package wasn't as good as DTS, huh? (I am confused, though; I
don't believe I've ever seen a message in this particular forum about DTP
packages corrupting data; to the best of my knowledge, I have never seen a
message about DTS corrupting data, either, although there are always a few
hapless users who need more help than others.)
David
P.S. I agree that SideKick is a neat little utility. Of course, it doesn't
have the breadth of features that DTS has, but then, not everyone requires as
robust and complete a package as DTS.
