Hello Bob, Welcome as a new Amiga owner, currently more user change to another machine because Commodore is going smash. You can use the modem on your amiga without any problems (normally), but you will need probably another cable for the connection from the modem to the amiga. If your amiga is equipped with WB 1.2 or 1.3 Ncomm would be one of the best progs for you, with WB 2.1 Term or Autopilot would be better. To be honest Term and Autopilot are "big" progs which need a lot of memory and disk space (AP needs at least WB 2.1, 3 MB ram, 5 MB on the hard disk for running). -Franz. flying from Aying(Germany) with Amiga 1200`030 & Autopilot
