Mike: Thanks for the message. I recalled a similar scrambling of data posted a while back. Of course I didn't dedicate the solution (if there was one) to memory as it would have helped me now. :-[ I copied as many files as I could off the PAR to an Alpha drive. As I mentioned, the two files I really needed are nowhere to be found. Alec Jason gave me a call tonight (thanks again Alec) and also mentioned using Norton Utilities to recover the files. I managed to load NU but I have no idea how to get it to do what I wish. I tried the obvious commands but my PAR drive was not available for most operations, NU was seeing only my C: and A: drives.
