We should be grateful that these third party developers exist!<<< Coming from the Amiga/Lightwave camp one of the features of 3DS that I hoped for was the plug-in features available with IPAS. With only two people working of Lightwave/Modeler, with one major release each year, it was difficult seeing new features added to 3DS through IPAS as they were needed or thought of. Lightwave 4.0 for Win/NT will be shipping soon with plug-in support, like Gary says, that is the way software is going. I would rather have the option of complaining about the IPAS costs, than complaining about missing features that cannot be added. It seems to me most people are making money with 3DS and can justify the purchase of IPAS stuff. With someone like me, who hasn't made any money yet, it is a big incentive to do so.
