>>How can I use an image as-is from Vistapro and composite elements modeled and rendered in 3DS into it?<< Read pp.124-126 in the Vistapro .v3 manual. You are trying method 1, applying the texture map from Vistapro to the .dem>.dxf>.3ds mesh in 3DS. You lose all the nice texturizing, trees, etc. Use method 2. The .dxf>.3ds landscape is used as the basis for your buildings, camera moves, etc. Set up your scene in 3DS, then create a .vue file. Use the vue2scr utility in Vistapro to get a .scr file. Render the animation in Vistapro using the original Vistapro .dem file and the new .scr file. Use these rendered images (.pcx–convert to .gif–, .bmp. or .tga) as your background in 3DS. Hide the landscape objects. Better yet, make them matte objects before doing the .vue, and your objects can be made to disappear behind Vistapro mountains. Watch out for trees, as they won't be accounted for as matte objects. This is all in the manual. Have fun! Paul
