Flic-Today is a Yesterday-Format. << i don't know about that, detlef. while is see the application of AVI and MOV files, FLC and FLI are extremely frugal formats. for example, in using animated maps for 3d studio (such as opacity maps or bump maps), AVI and MOV formats would be ridiculous in many uses. all that additional channel information would be useless, and considering CODEC issues, there are times when you don't want anything lossy affecting your maps. that aside, if one looks at VGA versus truecolor… that didn't go away either and FLC amd FLI formats are tailored for the older resolutions. like radio, i think we'll be seeing them around for some time to come. just my $2.00 worth (ain't inflation wonderful?) -dave
