Hi John,

Any news on a release date?

thing. ;-} MM100 will support double-buffered animation.
Oh, I thought it was H/W which is why the Amiga is unique in it's
animation capabilities. On PCs and Macs it would be a S/W solution, as I
understood it. I may be wrong, however (won't be the first time).
I was actually refering to the Mac. Director on the Mac doesn't use double
buffering (except perhaps for QT). It was sad because here I was using a
$7000 PowerPC and the animation wasn't as good as my '030 Amiga (of
course, I was comparing the 256 colour Mac with my 16 colour Amiga).
When I used Multimedia Toolbook there was an option, as I recall, which
enabled a form of double buffering. Unfortunately, it slowed things down
considerably.

You are welcome.

I actually have one question. Last year Scala200 was available at a deep
discount price. Is that offer still available. As I mentioned I don't
want to invest in the latest version because I don't have an AGA Amiga
but if I could get Sc200 for a reasonable price then I would.

I think any company that isn't doing that doesn't want to be in business
for much longer. I will use my Amiga for at least a couple years, most
likely, but most of my investment will be for my PC and other systems.
Thanks for your comments,
Andrew
