Anotehr thought on the dead drive would be.. Whenthe disk is inserted check to
see if the motor on the drive spins.. If it does not spin for a second then it
could also be the Gary Chip..
I had/have this problem.. I replaced both GARY chips only to find that that
did not help.. After some work with a logic probe I found that my Gary Chip is
not working on a couple pins… I found a work around for it and have not had a
problem with it.. Although I need to replace the Gary Chip eventually..
