Paul, I finally solved the problem. It was finger trouble setting up the EMPCD: device driver and once solved everything works fine. Basically when entering EMPCD: into the ASL requester to create a second device I got an error message saying no disk present in drive EMPCD: regardless of whether a CD was in or not. I cancelled this requester and the ASL requester. What I should have done was cancel the error requester and click on OK in the ASL.
