Yes, you are correct, it is a very general question and not really
possible to answer but there are certain things that you can consider:
The range can be anywhere from $10,000 up to $100,000. The first and
so far last kiosk I worked on had a budget around $16,500 which
included my work in s/w design, database building, video digitizing,
image scanning and graphic creation, the use of a development
computer, the kiosk computer, use of a kiosk printer, service for 3
months, a custom made kiosk (a 7 foot shoe), a bribe, consultancy
fees and profit. This project lost money but was designed as a
prototype.
Production houses tend to charge in the range of $50 to $100 per hour
of development time plus expenses. So all you have to do is calculate
how long it will take…
