Thanks Stephen, I'll try that. However the animations in which I experienced the problems I mentioned, did not use the render fields option at all. I gave up using that rendering option some time ago, as it seemed to make the tearing effect VERY obvious. I think that your suggestion may solve the problem though. I wonder if you or anyone could give me any more detailed information as to exactly how and when to use field rendering. Perhaps I should put this in the wishlist section for 3DS Max (future user-manuals) as there really isn't enough information about this topic to be found anywhere. Thanks again, -Brian.
