Without being able to go into detail (unfortunately) I have found that it seems to be a combination of which wordprocessor (yours sounds like WP at the moment) and the setting in it, possibly the Workbench settings and it sounds like you're tried these already. The problem seems to stem from what your system thinks it's sending to the printer and the fact that the printer is set to skip page breaks, if the print area sent is larger than the printer print area, the printer skips a margin and prints on. You may need to look at your printer settings. Sometimes changing fonts will do the trick as the WYSIWYGness of the wordprocessor may not be up to scratch.
