While I don't (yet) have a removable hard disk or tape drive, I did add an
external hard drive to my A3000. Yes, any SCSI device will work, but I should
add that with any SCSI system, use a premium quality cable and be sure the
termination is correctly set up. You can find the SCSI cable you need at an
Apple/Mac dealer, if there is no Amiga dealer near you.
If you use a removable media drive, keep in mind that you'll need a utility
called "SCSIMounter" to allow the A3000 to know when you remove and insert
cartridges while the computer is running.
