Perhaps when you boot off of the DPaint IV floppy, your startup-sequence gets
you up an running with a minimum of RAM overhead. Check your startup-sequence
and User-startup on your harddrive for additional programs that are launched
and running in the background. That could be the difference in your not
getting enough ram for DPaint's animation needs. Be careful not to tinker with
stuff in startup-sequence unless you absolutely know what you're looking at.
The stuff in User-startup is safer to play with.
