If you were referring to the parallel Okimate-20 printer with white lines in the graphics printout, my manual says switch 5 is NOT used for anything. Regardless, turning switch 5 'on' did not remove the white lines and I doubt that a Rom change will either. After taking the printer apart, it's my opinion that the white lines are caused by slop in the line feed gearing. The gears have a lot of backlash in them as do some other internal parts. The Epson JX-80 on the other hand does just the opposite. The last dot in a line of graphics overlaps the first dot in the next line. Any solution to that problem?
