Well, keep in mind that NEC — eight years ago — was about the only company that was positioned not only to beat Sony but to enter and maybe win in the American microcomputer market of the time. Where are they today? Ask their marketing department! And, it sounds like the same group of bozos is still working there. That is the one bad thing about the Japanese way of corporate life as a two-way family-like responsibility: You wind up with dummies for a lonnnnnnnnnnnng time once they get to a certain level.
