There are ways of using MoCap with R4's IK and I actually mentioned a theory a
few months ago. It could be done with some fairly reasonable keyscript
programming. Sample the data from an optical or magnetic system into an ascii
file. Right a script to interpret the data and create keys for dummy objects.
Then use IK to solve the motions from the dummy to the appropriate limb. One of
my old friends/clients (Alberto Menache) is doing something just like this his
new optical motion capture studio in LA.
